We prepared a ham to bake while we were at the range today. After we got home and cleaned our guns, we finished up our Easter Sunday meal. Yummy.

I took this photo of my nephew, Drake, at Mom’s the other day. Carol and BB, my sisters, brought Drake to visit Mom and Dad. Drake, who is almost two years old, was helping me while I watered some of Mom’s plants. He would dip a cup into the water bucket and carry it to a plant that needed water. Of course, in this picture, he is wearing one of ‘Papa’s’ white shirts because not all of the water went into the pots.
Ain’t he just the cutest little thing? I just want to pinch his little cheeks! Click the image for a closer look.
We’ve posted pix of Drake here before:

Family Visits
I set up a couple of webcams at home so I can remotely monitor what’s going on in the house. I also like to see what Verna is up to – between the chatroom and the webcam, she virtually keeps me company when she’s at the computer and when I’m at my desk.
Today, when she returned from visiting Mom and Dad, she let Bear in and was puttering about getting ready to get back to the computer. Although you can’t see Verna in any of these frames, you know in which direction she is off camera, thanks to our Doggie Direction Finder (DDF)
In the top frame, the DDF is detecting Verna to be in the vicinity of the little fridge or the little TV. In the second frame, the DDF indicates that she is in the living room or dining room. Finally, in the bottom frame, the DDF locates her in the kitchen.
Maybe I can get the DDF patented . . .

When we go to visit Mom and Dad, we always manage to spend time outdoors if the weather is nice. Today, was one of those days. We spent time outdoors and I took a lot of pictures.
On the west side of the yard, Mom has a ‘nightshade’ tree that has dozens of trumpet-shaped flowers every spring. I took this image of Mom and the trumpets while we were enjoying the nice weather and the pretty garden flowers. Click on the image to enlarge.
