Alamo Lake

We visited Alamo Lake, one of Arizona’s State parks yesterday. It was pretty hot (106°) but we enjoyed a picnic and walking to the edge of the lake where I got this panoramic image of the lake and the four-lane boat ramp. Click on the thumbnail to see the full-sized panorama.

Jack Loves Arizona

We’re on our way back to California today. While we were en-route, I took several photos of the antenna ball on our SUV. Every time I snapped a photo, Jack was smiling. I guess Jack loves Arizona.

The New Lot Panorama

This panorama is from the perspective of the road across from the new lot. You can see from the west road to the east road with the compacted lot in the center. The house in the distance is on the next street over and up the hill behind the property. Click on the thumbnail below for the full panorama.

Lone Palm

Along US Highway 60 east of Salome, AZ, there is this lone palm growing amongst the cholla, saguaro, creosote, yucca and palo verde. Pretty, if out of place. Click on the image to enlarge.

My New Yard

The Mama and the Daddy took me to my new yard today. My new house is not there yet but I saw some lizards and a kangaroo rat to chase. Maybe I’ll catch one sometime.

Date Palms

dates.jpgI took this photo of some date palms growing in an orchard near Blythe, California, as we passed along I-10 on our way to Arizona. We passed this orchard last month before the date clusters were wrapped in burlap. I thought the integrated ladders on the palms trunks were an interesting feature.
