Ducky for the Spa

ducky.jpg

We drained the spa yesterday and refilled it today. We replaced the old water with new water treated with the new chemicals we ordered last week. Now the water is nice and crystal clear.

I added a new feature – the rubber ducky that floats around as we enjoy the spa. Cabela really wants to play with it, but is intimidated by the jets and bubbles. We had a good session in the tub this afternoon but got out as soon as we saw some lightning strikes nearby. Click on the image to enlarge.

A Flying Leap – by Cabela

mid-air.jpgI just love it when the Mama and the Daddy throw my squeaky toys for me. The Mama throws my toy on the sofa and I try to catch it in mid-air. I will play hard for about five minutes and then I lay down for a nap.

The Mama threw the toy and the Daddy took this photo of me in mid-air jumping up to get the toy. Click on me and the toy to make us big.

Pride of the Courtyard

This brightly colored flower grows on three shrubs in our courtyard. The shrub, red bird of paradise, a.k.a. pride of Barbados, will produce these pretty flowers all summer long. Come November, we will prune these back to just a foot or so while they go dormant until next spring when they will bounce back with twice as many flowers.

Anyone who has read our blog for a while will know that these flowers are my favorites. Click on the image to enlarge.
