Roadrunner
We saw this roadrunner on our way back from taking the dogs to the park. It was about 500 feet down the road from our house. I got out of the truck to try and get a closer picture but the little guy ran down the road (what else would a roadrunner do?) into a thicket. Click on the image to enlarge.

Contrails at Sundown
I took this photo last night at sundown. I like the way the clouds and the contrails have a nice yellow-orange glow. About an hour after I took the photo, we had a very heavy thunderstorm for about ten or fifteen minutes. We love this place!

A Desert Thicket
We took a short drive to the park today. While we were there, I walked down to the wash next to the park and snapped a picture of the brush and mesquite growing over the wash. I think it makes for an “artsy” picture when rendered in sepia monochrome. Click on the image to enlarge. Click here for the full color version.
