While we were there, we stayed at the world-famous <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lhw.com\/property.aspx?&#038;propertyid=96&#038;Ext=Ghass&#038;gclid=CIOB3oWX24kCFQOYWAod3kiA9Q\">Hassler Hotel<\/a>. The rooms were very nice and the view from the dining room on the top floor was breathtaking. We made side trips to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vatican.va\/phome_en.htm\">Vatican City<\/a> for the museums, the Sistine Chapel and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aviewoncities.com\/rome\/sanpietro.htm\">Saint Peter&#8217;s Basilica<\/a>,  to Florence to see <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Michelangelo's_David\">Michelangelo&#8217;s David<\/a> and the famous <a href=\"http:\/\/www.yourwaytoflorence.com\/db\/musei\/giotto.htm\">Duomo<\/a> and to Naples where we saw <a href=\"http:\/\/www.volcanolive.com\/vesuvius.html\">Mount Vesuvius<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Herculaneum\">Hurculaneum<\/a>, a first-century village recently unearthed.<br \/>\n<em><\/p>\n<p>Above: The Hotel Hassler and Church of Trinta dei Monti above the Spanish Steps.
