For agricultural people, the warming rays of the sun held great importance. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.petroglyphs.us\/photographs_petroglyphs_indian_well_lanfair_valley_IW.htm\">Petroglyphs<\/a> of the sunburst have often been found wherever ancient peoples lived. The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.petroglyphs.us\/photographs_selby_rocks_pictographs_carrizo_plain_california_SR.htm\">Chumash and Yokut<\/a> tribes here in California are no exception with petroglyph sites dotting the map.<\/p>\n<p>In recent times the sunburst has often been used to decorate <a href=\"http:\/\/www.renaissanceastrology.com\/horaryastrologycourse.html\">clocks<\/a> and weather instruments.
