Filet Mignon) grilled to medium-rare, topped with saut&eacute;ed mushrooms. Click to enlarge.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I went to the butcher counter on Thursday when we were doing the weekly grocery shopping. I told the butcher on duty that I did not see any beef tenderloin steaks in the meat cooler. He offered to cut me a couple from a fresh beef tenderloin. The man was kind enough to cut two from the center of the tenderloin and wrapped them for us. &#8220;That&#8217;s where I would want mine to come from,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>Damn, the steaks and the whole meal were wonderful!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We enjoyed these beautiful center-cut beef tenderloin steaks (a.k.a.
