We originally established the blog as a place to discuss weekend menus and post the results with an image or two.  <\/p>\n<p><em>Image: Chicken Saltimboca with pasta, broccoli and marinara sauce<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Before we retired, we used the <a href=\"http:\/\/vernabob.com\/bluechat\/\">VernaBob chatroom<\/a> to communicate with each other while I was at work. Many of those chat transcripts appeared in the posts prior to 10\/01\/2009, the date I retired &#8211; and retired the chatroom, although it still works if needed.<\/p>\n<p>The image above was the first meal we posted on the blog, although there is a recipe posted the same month for one of our favorite Tex-Mex chicken chile verde dishes.
