The hailstones were not more than &frac14; inch in diameter and covered the ground like it might have been snowing.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/vernabob.com\/graphics\/imageview.php?image=http:\/\/vernabob.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/20250127-hail-cover.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/vernabob.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/20250127-hail-cover.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7922\" srcset=\"http:\/\/vernabob.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/20250127-hail-cover.jpg 1200w, http:\/\/vernabob.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/20250127-hail-cover-300x200.jpg 300w, http:\/\/vernabob.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/20250127-hail-cover-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This (clickable) photo is looking toward the west with what looks like a fresh snow, but is only hail and rain which dissipated quickly since the temperature was well above freezing. I used my new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/dp\/B07QFFNCG4\/ref=twister_B07QKPLYBT?_encoding=UTF8\" target=\"_blank\">SL3 Canon<\/a> to take the picture.<\/p>\n<p>We are forecast to possibly have more rain going into this week, with clearing next weekend. We have never seen this accumulation of hail since we&#8217;ve been here over the last 15 years.
