Manhattan Beach Tennis Club

The newest submission to the panorama collection is the Manhattan Beach Tennis Club. When I take my lunchtime walk, I sometimes walk by the club. This shot was taken from the sidewalk outside.

Trump National Golf Course Panorama

it’s not one of my best, but with the wind blowing at 30 knots and Catalina looming in the distance, it delivers a pretty good panoramic view of Trump’s Western links. The rest of the course is to the left of the flag and below intervening terrain. Click to view the full panorama.

East Marriott Golf Course Panorama

Another in the panorama series: the eastern part of the nine-hole golf course at the Manhattan Beach Marriott Hotel. I used my new Canon A710 and a photo stitch application to create this image from four snapshots of the course. Click on the picture for a bigger image.

Catalina Island from Ryan Park

Here’s another panoramic view of Catalina Island taken this time from Ryan Park in Rancho Palos Verdes. The golf course and park is located on the west side of Hawthorne Boulevard, just beyond the crest of the hill. Click the image for the full-sized panorama.

A Panoramic View of Catalina Island

I took this photo (actually five photos stitched together) from Del Cerro Park, one of the highest points on the Palos Verdes Peninsula in Southern California. The panorama sweeps from the Southeast (San Pedro Hill is the high point on the left) across the horizon where Catalina Island can be seen below the clouds in the distance. The sweep continues to the West-Southwest toward Santa Barbara Island which can only be seen on an exceptionally clear day. Somewhere near the center, you can see Verna taking photos of Portuguese Bend. Click on the image for a larger version.
