Bob
First Furniture
We were waiting for Southwest Gas to arrive and install the meter and turn on the gas and got tired of standing, so we drove to a local discount store and bought a couple of folding camp chairs. After setting the chairs up on the patio, we posed for this family portrait. Click on the image to enlarge.
Improv-ice
We went out to the new house today on our way to go shopping for a few things. One of the items we needed was ice for the cooler to keep the beer cold at the hotel room.
Verna looked in the freezer section of the refrigerator in the new house and noticed that there were lots of ice cubes in the ice-maker. At that time a light-bulb went off in her head – we could take this ice to the hotel room! But, we didn’t have a plastic bag – or did we? If you look carefully at the photo (click to enlarge) you will notice three small bags with zebra stripes on one side and white on the other. Yep – they are three doggie doogie pickup bags filled with ice cubes – and the Buds are cold and they taste just fine. 😉
Multicolor Webcam Art Fun
This works only if you have a webcam installed.
The program I use to prepare Adobe Flash® animations has a blog. Their authors will post articles describing various aspects of the program. Yesterday, they posted about importing webcam video into the animation. I downloaded the example program and tried it out. This is the result – 25 mini me images rendered with different video filters:

If you do have a webcam you might try out the flash animation below the fold. You will have to give your permission to allow access to your camera.
Wright Flyer – 107th Anniversary
One-Hundred and Seven years ago on this day, the entrepreneurial Wright Brothers launched the age of powered heavier-than-air flight. Coincidentally, my first solo flight took place on this date in 1961 in Santa Monica, California – forty-nine years ago. How time flies (pun intended).
