Classic Pontiac “Woody” Station Wagon in 3D

47woody.jpgJust feast your eyes on this beauty! This is a 1947 Pontiac Station Wagon.

The owner did some beautiful restoration on this classic set of wheels. The interior was fully restored with original equipment. The exterior woodwork had been fully restored and polished to a high luster. Original equipment chrome hubcaps and the white sidewall tires were a delight. Everything was highly polished.

Garden Topiaries in 3D

When we go to the Botanic Gardens, I usually do my nerdy thing and try to take panoramic images or get a pair of images that I can merge into a 3D anaglyph. I leave the artsy stuff to Verna.

A few weekends ago, I stood in front of these topiaries in the children’s garden and leaned to the left and then to the right; each time I snapped an image of the scene. If the lateral distance of the camera’s aperture is about the same as the human inter-pupil spread and the camera is held at the same horizontal angle and the same distance from the subject, then a 3D picture can be produced.

London Bridge in 3D

Here’s the latest in my series of three-dimensional anaglyph (red-cyan) pictures. While at Lake Havasu, AZ, I took two pictures to produce this image. One leaning left and one leaning right, to simulate the distance between a person’s eyes. You can read about this technique on my 3D Stuff page. Click on the image to see a larger version. If you don’t have your 3D glasses handy, you can click for a 2D picture of the London Bridge.

Desert Watchtower – in 3D

While we were at Grand Canyon, I imaged the Desert Watchtower in 3D. Click to see this image full sized. You will need red-cyan 3D glasses to see the stereo effect.

Vintage Ford Truck

I was at the dentist this morning for cleaning and checkup. I arrived a little early so I sat in the parking lot for a while. A few minutes before my appointment time, a gentleman arrived in this very cherry Ford panel truck – painted bright yellow. I took a couple of photos of it including this pair of pictures merged into a 3D image. You will need red/blue or red/cyan glasses to see the 3D effect. Visit my 3D gallery for this and more.
