Jerry’s Oshkosh B’gosh Overalls

OverallsWe are in Palm Desert camping at the RV Park. Last night and today, Jerry and his Mom and Dad came over to visit. He was wearing a pair of Oshkosh overalls that I sent him a couple of months ago. He looks like such a big boy with them on. Oh yes, he is walking on his own now.

The kids and Jerry will be visiting us again tomorrow. We have them over to the RV Park where we fix dinner and they visit for as long as the baby will be happy. He is cutting teeth these days and can get pretty unwound with the discomfort.

We will be headed home on Monday after what I’m sure will be a good mini-vacation and family visit. We’re praying for an uneventful return trip to Arizona.

Off-Leash at the Dog Park

Since the weather has become mild compared to the summer months, we are now able to take the dogs to the Wickenburg Dog Park again. Both Cabela and Beethoven love to run around the park sniffing and doing their thing.

This photo is one of the rare times when I could get them both in the same frame as they explored a chair under one of the shade trees. Most of the time, they are running in different directions looking for whatever the park grounds might offer a dog.

Dozing in the Doggie Bed

Cabela’s Doggie Bed

The Daddy sneaked up behind me and took this picture of me napping in my doggie bed on the love seat in the great room. We are in the “tweener” months when it is still warm enough to sleep without blankets.

Alex’s Second Birthday

Alex at two

We’re a day late to post about our great grandson’s second birthday. One of the grand daughters posted this on the book with faces today, so I’m re-posting it here. Happy Birthday Li’l Dude.

Gonna See This Little Guy Next Week

Jerry AsleepWe’re on the road for a family reunion starting tomorrow and lasting until we get back home. We made arrangements to visit with our grandson, Jerry and his parents a week from tomorrow.

Before that, however, we will be in Stockton with our family from various places, mostly in California. They will dribble in and out at the sister’s place over the next few days.

We’re going to impose ourselves on my sister for a week, just to get caught up on everything and after that head back south for the rendezvous with little Jerry. We will have to stay one more night in a campground near Bakersfield on our way to Palm Desert.

When our visit with the kids and grandson is complete, we will be headed back home after a couple of weeks on the road. It has been, and will be, a lot of fun.

Jerry’s Choo Choo

Jerry Riding Thomas the Train

We went to the California Desert over the weekend to celebrate a belated first birthday of our grandson, Jerry. We brought several presents for him, but this little Thomas the Train motorized ride-on toy might have been his favorite. We weren’t able to set up the track that came with the engine, but his folks will do that for him when they get back to their place. Click on the image to enlarge.
