Panoramas

Alamo Lake

We visited Alamo Lake, one of Arizona’s State parks yesterday. It was pretty hot (106°) but we enjoyed a picnic and walking to the edge of the lake where I got this panoramic image of the lake and the four-lane boat ramp. Click on the thumbnail to see the full-sized panorama.

The New Lot Panorama

This panorama is from the perspective of the road across from the new lot. You can see from the west road to the east road with the compacted lot in the center. The house in the distance is on the next street over and up the hill behind the property. Click on the thumbnail below for the full panorama.

Property Panorama Steakout

Our builder in Arizona went out to our new lot and installed some stakes to mark the corners of the new house. We met with him and discusses some of the options available to us. While we were there, I took several images of the lot to stitch together into this panoramic view from the east view of the building pad to the north view. Hopefully, we will be able to post more panoramas an progress on the new house is made. Click on the thumbnail to see the whole panorama, stakes and all.

Lake Pleasant Panorama

We had some spare time today, so we decided to take a drive out to Lake Pleasant in North Maricopa County, Arizona. It was really too hot to have a picnic like we originally intended, so we drove up to the visitors center and took some pictures. I made this panoramic image that shows only a portion of the lake from Bass Bay on the left to the New Waddell Dam on the right. Block Party Street Pamorama

On the Fourth of July some of the neighbors petitioned the city to allow them to close off a section of the street to traffic so they could have a block party. Verna and I were not involved (we do our own BBQ thing) but I went out on the front balcony and took a series of photos that I stitched into this panoramic image. Point Vicente Fishing Access Panorama

I only found out today that the City of Rancho Palos Verdes now owns and maintains the Point Vicente Fishing Access property off of Palos Verdes Drive South. The City acquired this property from Los Angeles County through a grant deed in May 2004. This 10.5-acre site features a paved parking lot, a restroom building, an improved trail to the shoreline, and incredible Catalina and ocean views.

We were up there a couple of months ago when the air was particularly clear. I took six images and stitched them together to make the panoramic image. Click on the thumbnail panorama to see full sized. Scroll to the right for Catalina Island and some vessels in the channel.
