Panoramas

Our New Desert Property

Today, we closed escrow on the Arizona lot where we’re going to start construction on our new desert home. Earlier in the month, I took a series of images which I stitched together to form a 360° panoramic image. Click on the thumbnail segment below to see the entire panorama in the image viewer.

When we visited Lake Havasu City, I took three images of the London Bridge and stitched them together. This is the result. Click image to see full-sized.

Epiphyllum Show and Sale

The flowers on display at today’s show were overwhelmingly beautiful. We were greeted by hundreds of colorful cactus orchid flowers when we entered the display hall. Click on the panorama to enlarge.

Island Panorama

When we were at Terranea a few days ago, Verna took this photo of Santa Catalina Island from the “Discovery Trail” pathway along the cliffs overlooking the Catalina Channel. I cropped it down into this panoramic image. Click on the image to see full-sized in the image viewer.

Cholla Garden Panorama

This is the Cholla (choy-a) Gardens along the roadway north of the I-10 entrance to Joshua Tree National Park. I cropped the thumbnail image to about the first 90 degrees of a 270 degree view. I took the images used to compose this panorama on Friday as we were headed home. Click to view the entire panorama.

Keys View Panorama

Click on the image to enjoy this panorama showing the view down the draw facing southwest from Keys View lookout point in Joshua Tree National Park. In the distance, you can see the two dominant snow-capped peaks overlooking the Banning Pass; Mount San Jacinto and Mount San Gorgonio. In the valley below, you can see the darker group of hills that mark the boundary of the Pacific and North American tectonic plates, also known as the San Andreas Fault.
