Point Vicente Panoramic Image

This one is wider than usual, panning from the lighthouse to the right of the Malibu coastline in the distance. Verna had been taking photos of the lighthouse and surf from the fence. Click on the small panorama to see the big one.

From the South Coast Botanic Gardens web pages:

The Cactus Garden came into being in the early 1970’s, through the dedication of the South Coast Cactus & Succulent Society. Many hours were spent planning and designing this specialty garden. This garden features a desert setting with extensive displays of exotic cactus and succulents found in arid areas all over the world. As part of our ongoing Plant Identification Project, over 100 identifying labels have been placed in the Cactus Garden.

Point Vicente Panorama

Verna and I took a quick detour to point Vicente today after visiting the County Recycle Center. I snapped a series of images toward the point and Catalina Island and “stitched” them together to make the panorama below. Click on the thumbnail for the full-sized image.

Ocean Panorama at Point Vicente

Yesterday, while we were taking our walk along the path at the Point Vicente Interpretive Center, I imaged several adjacent, overlapping views of the horizon from south to northwest. I ‘stitched’ the images into a single panoramic image. Click on the small panorama below to open in the image viewer. Use the scroll bars in the image viewer to scan across the image.
