Panoramas

Manhattan Marriott Panorama

Now that I’m back in the Manhattan Beach office, I can take my after-lunch walks down past the Marriott Hotel. I paused last week to take this three frame panorama from the northwest corner of the property.

Garden Courtyard

We went to the Botanic Garden today for the annual Orchid show and sale. After visiting the show, we took a stroll through some of the garden. I got this panoramic image of Verna strolling on the lawn in the courtyard. Scroll right to see the gazebo at the other end of this calming scene.

View from the Top of the Steps

There is a staircase leading up from Via Casino that leads upwards in the direction of the Chime Tower. The stairs stop and the walkway leads to a street where you can walk up the rest of the way to the Chimes. I paused at that point and snapped several shots across the horizon left to right to later be assembled into a panoramic image for the website. Click to see the image in the viewer.

Room With a View

When I got to the hotel room last Thursday, I went out on the balcony and took the panorama of the view we enjoyed while in the room. Click on the panorama to see it in the image viewer.

Some of the things you can see from the balcony is the chime tower, the Casino, Avalon Harbor, Shops and Crescent Avenue. In the distance to the left you can see Holly Hill House with its cone-shaped gazebo roof and, further up the hill, the Wrigley Mansion.

Tuzigoot Panorama

Once home to the pre-Colombian Sinagua Native Americans, the ruins at Tuzigoot, near Cottonwood, AZ, is a very interesting place to visit. It was a stop on our tour through Arizona last month. This is a picture of the ruin as seen from the road leading up to the park entrance. I’d like to take credit for this panorama, but it actually is a shot that Verna took from the truck as we drove up to the ruin. I cropped the image for this widescreen view.
