Rainbow Harbor

While I lived in Long Beach as a child, my parents would often take us kids to the shoreline. At the time, there was a semicircular pier called ‘Rainbow Pier’ in the harbor. Today, the pier is gone and the harbor there is now ‘Rainbow Harbor.’ This is a panoramic view of the harbor taken from Pierpoint Landing where Dad used to take us fishing. Los Angeles Breakwater

This is the view looking east from Land’s End at the southernmost end of Pacific Avenue in San Pedro. In the distance, tall thunderclouds can be seen over the Santa Ana Mountains. Verna snapped this and I cropped it into a panoramic view of the scene. Click on the picture for the full-sized panorama.

Choppy Seas

We took a drive today down to the south side of the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Verna took a lot of pictures and I took a few, including this panoramic seascape. Catalina island can be perceived through the sea mist kicked up by blustery winds. Click the image for the full panoramic view.

Santa Monica Bay

Verna wanted to go to Palos Verdes on her Birthday for some photo ops. While she did that, I took a series of pictures of the Santa Monica Bay from Palos Verdes Point. This is the result after stitching them together on the computer. Verna is in the red shirt on the left. Click on the image for a bigger view.
