Panoramas

Panoramic Image From Across the Road

pan-from-tims.jpg

Verna and I went across the road to a neighbor’s place to check on his dog while he was away. I looked back across the road toward our house and got this panoramic image from the hill where the neighbor’s house is located. Click on the image to see the full panorama.

State of the Estate

I walked out across the road yesterday and snapped a series of images that I merged into a single panoramic image of the Arizona house and yard. We received some of the office furniture this week and are working on acquiring the rest of the home furnishings in a week or two. We’re getting closer to our completion of the interior and are just a few steps closer to the completion of the landscaping. Click on the panoramic image to see full-sized.

Hassayampa River Valley Panorama

We took a nice scenic drive today up the Hassayampa River Valley. When we got to the top of one of the ridges we crossed, Verna took an image back toward the Vulture Mountains in the distance with the Hassayampa in the foreground and the Town of Wickenburg in the middle ground. View to the Northeast

Verna took this photo from the hilltop a couple of blocks up the road. It’s a view of the Hassayampa Valley to the northeast and the mountains beyond. The Hassayampa River originates in the mountains and flows underground for miles before flowing on the surface through this area.

I cropped Verna’s photo down to create a panorama. Click on the image to view the full-sized panorama.

Panorama of the Landscape and New House

I hiked up the hill across the road from the new house and snapped a series of photos that I combined by using the stitch feature in the Canon Zoom Browser application. I took three images from left to right which covers the front property line of the half-acre lot. During the stitching process you can accept the automatic merge function or you can specify two or more corresponding areas. I find that the latter technique makes for smoother “seams” in the final image.

I think the house has “curb appeal” even though there are no curbs on our little unpaved road. Click on the image to enlarge.

Santa Monica Bay Panorama

Yesterday, Verna and I drove to Santa Monica for a dental appointment. We had a little time to kill since we arrived in the area early, so we took a walk in Palisade Park which overlooks the North Santa Monica Bay. I took several images and composed this panoramic view of the seashore and blue pacific ocean. Click on the thumbnail image to view the full-sized panorama.
