The Vet Place

The Daddy took me to the Vet Place this morning. When I got there, they weighed me then took me into a room where they shaved off my fur just above my right forepaw. Then they gave me a shot and then I felt like taking a nap. When I woke up my legs were wobbly and my tummy hurt. They gave me a pill to make it better though. The Vet Lady said I would be OK and I should rest for a couple of weeks.

Later, the hoomins came and got me and took me home. I didn’t feel like doing anything so I laid down to take another nap.

Colorado River Egrets

We passed along the Colorado River on the Arizona side from Parker to Ehrenberg this afternoon. There were several marshes along the route, mostly along irrigation canals for the local agriculture. At one point, I observed some white birds in flight near the canals. We passed a brood of Cattle Egrets scurrying behind their mom. I think that’s dad in the air above. Picnic Day

picnic-bear.jpgThe hoomins went shopping today in another place. I had to stay with the pet sitting place where there was a vet. It was sorta boring but they were nice to me.

Later, the hoomins came and got me and then we went to have a picnic in the park. I like picnics because the Mama and Daddy let me have some of the leftover meat (left) and that makes me happy (right). Click me to make me big.

After the picnic we went to the big house with lots of little rooms for hoomins and dogs. When I get there, I can take a nap.

The Vet Place

bear-sneer.jpgThis week the hoomins took me to get trimmed and a bath at the vet place. I like the trim and bath all except the water part.

Before the trim and bath the vet lady looked at my skin and tummy. She used a needle (didn’t hurt) to poke me. She also pushed on my tummy and looked in my nose, my mouth and my ears.

The next day, the hoomins brought me back to the vet place because the vet lady thought I should get another test. They used a funny thing that another vet held in her hand and saw pictures of the inside of me.

The Mama and the Daddy talked to the vet lady and decided that I have to go back to have an operation. They say I am going to have to rest after but I will be OK.

All this made me very tired so I am going to take a nap now.

Bee in a Flower

Last week, I took several photos of the flowers on the Devil’s Tongue barrel cactus. Most of the time there was a bee in the flower. It seemed that there was this one bee that made the open flower his home, although there must have been more than one. Click on the image to enlarge.

BBQ Day

bbq-watch.jpgToday, the Daddy rolled the grill thing onto the patio and started a fire. Then he went into the house and brought out a big piece of beef. He put the meat on the grill and it sizzled and started to smell really good.

I like it when the Daddy does the grill thing. There always is a treat or two when he’s cooking and there are leftovers the hoomins give me after they eat. I like treats and leftovers. I eat all the leftovers, get a drink of water and then I go take a nap. The picture is me watching the Daddy work the grill thing. Click to make me big.
