Native American Petroglyphs

These Native American Petroglyphs are located immediately adjacent to US 60 between Hope, AZ and Harcuvar, AZ. I took this photo from the truck as we drove by. Click on the image to enlarge.

Thanks for the Rain

Thanks for the Rain

Bob and I went into town last week and played like we were tourists. I visited several of the little shops in the area and we had lunch at the best Mexican restaurant in town. I took lots of photos, one of which was the “Thanks for the rain” bronze sculpture at the Desert Caballeros Western Museum. The sculpture is by famous cowboy artist, Joe Beeler. Horse Sculpture

Horse Sculpture

We’re pretty proud of the museum here in town; the Desert Caballeros Western Museum lives up to its motto of “Small Town, Big Museum.” Today, we passed outside of the museum building where this nice metal sculpture of a pair of horses stands. I’m not sure when this sculpture was added, but it has been since we moved here. Click on the image to enlarge.

Flag Day in Wickenburg

Flag Day in Wickenburg

Each holiday, volunteers from The American Legion here in town place dozens and dozens of flags around town, mostly on the main drags. Today, we were driving through town and Verna took this shot of a few of the many flags lining the streets of town. Click on the image to enlarge.
