Grilled Chicken

grilled-chix.jpgBob grilled these four chicken breasts this afternoon. I cut one into cubes and sprinkled on a Southwestern Salad kit from Dole (you get them in the produce department at the market). The result was an outstanding and delicious Southwestern chicken salad (if I do say so myself). Simple and easy.

We will use the other three breasts this weekend for other meals. Maybe shredded chicken soft tacos or something like that. Or, how about chicken and pasta with marinara sauce? Simple and easy!

Beethoven – Then and Now

Do you remember when we first adopted Beethoven how you could see his ribs and backbone? well, I’m happy to say that after six months he has filled out nicely. Click on Bay Bay’s old image above to see the new Bay Bay.

Also, I’m just as happy to say that Cabela, who was at about nineteen pounds six months ago, has been on a diet and now weighs about the same (fifteen pounds or so) as Bay Bay. You can see them both at the dog park in this photo.

At the River

Bob and I had a wonderful visit with our friends Jim and Karen when we went to their riverside home on the Colorado in Earp, CA. It’s just across the river from Parker, AZ. We had a lot of fun and met a lot of great people that live in Jim and Karen’s riverside community.

This is Karen and I walking Bear, Cabela and Bay-Bay on the shores of the river just a stone’s throw from their home. We had a lot of fun during our visit. Click on the image to enlarge.

Cabela at Rest

It has been a little over a year and a half since we adopted Cabela. She is an active and lovable miniature pinscher. Between her and Beethoven (the other min-pin), they make us laugh every day.

Since she is a very active dog, it is unusual to see her so much at rest on the back of the love seat. To our relief, she almost always lets us sleep all night long when it’s bedtime. Click on her picture to enlarge.

Visit to the Dog Park

We took Bear, Cabela and Bay Bay to the dog park today. Our dog park is a no-leash park and boy, do the dogs love it. They all (including Bear) gallop all around chasing each other and any other dogs in the park (today there were two other dogs – all friendly). In the image above, Bay Bay is heading back to us at full-gallop. Click on the image to enlarge.

Bacon Time

Hi – this is Bay Bay. Every night, the Mama gets some doggie bacon from the cabinet and treats Bear, Cabela and me to some tasty bits. Bear gets hers first and then Cabela and I jump up on the couch and the Mama feeds us little bits of the bacon. Yum yum! Click the picture to make us big.
