Another flower opened up today on the Bishop’s Cap Cactus. In the past, we have had flowers way into November, so expect to see more of these yellow flowers from time to time. Click on the image to enlarge.
Red Birds Still Going Strong
The Red Bird of Paradise flowers in the courtyard are still going strong. Alas, it won’t be long until Autumn when they begin to go dormant. Next year, I expect them to be bigger and better in their third season here. Click on the image to enlarge.
Retirement Ranch Llama
We hadn’t seen the llama for a while when we went to visit Mom at the ranch. Yesterday upon Mom’s return to the ranch, the llama was grazing in the pasture, still showing signs of having been rained upon earlier in the day. Click on the image to enlarge.
Water Under the Bridge
This is the Hassayampa River which is rarely seen flowing at this point in Wickenburg. Today and last night, there were showers and thunderstorms over the whole area, resulting in whitewater flow under the pedestrian bridge. Our Arizona Teams
This is a shot of the two television sets in our entertainment console this afternoon. The top TV has the Arizona Diamondbacks baseball team at the San Francisco Giants and the Bottom TV has the Arizona Cardinals at the Saint Louis Rams. We watched both games while enjoying a delicious dinner consisting of Buffalo chicken sandwiches with bleu cheese coleslaw and grilled corn on the cob. Click on the image to enlarge.
Cabela’s Cool Dip
Bay Bay gets in the tub after our long morning walk when the weather is hot, but the Mama puts me in there. She rubs me with the water to cool me down. Then I get out and shake off the water before running into the cool house. Click on me to make me bigger.
