APOD published this nice image of Helene, one of Saturn’s Trojan Moons. The moon does not orbit the planet, but rather orbits ahead of the planet at one of the Lagrange points leading Saturn in orbit. Both Jupiter and Saturn are known to have these Trojan moons.

We were just getting ready to go to the supermarket today, when I grabbed my little Canon A710-IS camera, set it on the courtyard wall and got this picture of us and the two min pins. The camera has an ingenious option to set the automatic delay timer countdown audio to sound like a puppy whining. Notice the dogs both alerted on it and faced the camera as the shutter snapped. We drove to the top of the hill behind our house where I took several images to merge into this nice panorama. There is a little wind and the temperature is about 53° and mostly sunny. This view of the mountains north of town has no snow at present, but will likely have some soon with the next winter storm passage. Click on the image to see the full panorama.
