Throwback Thursday

Verna in the Great Room

From September 8, 2010: Verna posed for this photo while we were visiting Arizona and checking the progress of our new house. Click on the image to enlarge.

Today, we had our Thanksgiving Dinner on the table currently sitting approximately where I was standing when I took this picture over five years ago. Happy Thanksgiving!

Baby G Grinning

Baby G Grinning

Baby G’s Mama sent this beautiful photo to me today. He is getting so big! From a little five pounder at birth to this three months and over ten pounds little grinning baby boy. I miss him! Glad to have the photos, however.

Bye Bye For Now Baby G

Bye Bye

Today, we drove home from a two-day visit with our new grandson, his mom and dad and the baby’s other set of grandparents. We have been trying to make regular visits to the Palm Desert area where his parents bring him to meet us at a point less than halfway between the baby’s house in Pasadena and ours in Wickenburg.

It was a nice visit. We pulled the trailer to a nearby RV resort on Wednesday, camped for the night and then brought a Mexican takeout luncheon to the in laws place. I held the baby as much as I could while we were there. I just love him!

In the image above, I am saying goodbye for now with another planned visit to take place in about six weeks. Click on the image to enlarge.

Baby G, Pizza and Daddy

Everyone Loves Pizza

Our son sent this fabulous photo in an email to me today. Baby G looks like he wants to try the pizza, but, of course, he’s not quite ready for that. His daddy looks like he probably will enjoy the pie after he puts the little guy in his crib.

Pretty in Pink

Pretty in Pink

I took this photo of Verna looking for photo targets of opportunity in the rock and cactus garden yesterday. There is always something in the desert to photograph, including the photographers, themselves. Click on the image to enlarge.

Carnelian Necklace – 17th Anniversary

Carnelian Necklace

Here is Verna modeling her new “Empress” Necklace. The traditional list of anniversary jewelry and gifts says “watches” for the 17th anniversary, but I found an alternate to that to be Carnelian jewelry. Therefore, I located this nice silver and carnelian necklace made in Java and Bali with hearts and the delicate swirls of the far eastern designs. She loves it. Click on the image to enlarge.

Happy anniversary, Honey.
