We have no fear of anything unusual going undetected while Beethoven (Bay Bay) is on the lookout. I was out hanging up a bird feeder in the back yard as Bay Bay looked on keeping watch for the unexpected. He made a ruckus at one point when a roadrunner appeared on the hill behind us. It was way up on the hill by the neighbor to the north; I had to look several times before I saw the roadrunner move. Good watchdog.

One Happy Grandma and a Beautiful New Baby
We got home today from the road trip to California to see the new baby. Grandma Verna is still floating around with the happiness as a result of having a new grandson.
Quoting her, “He’s so soft, long fingers and toes, perfect in every way!” Baby G is still very little, but in perfect health and will be gaining weight every day since he is now nursing very well.
“I just love him – I told him so and he seemed to smile back at me when I did.” Click on the image to enlarge.
Baby G Video
Grandma Verna got to hold our new grandson today. He is the cutest little thing. This video shows him working real hard to pass his last meal of milk that Verna fed to him just before.
He is small, still just over five pounds, but perfect in every way. He has a nice round head, long fingers and toes, is gaining weight and, of course, pooping and peeing his fair share. We hated to say goodbye for now when we headed back to our campsite.
The other set of Grandparents told us that the new little guy will be visiting them often and said we’re welcome to come here whenever he’s in town. We will probably be back in September when we are planning to take our next California trip.
Relaxing After a Tedious Desert Crossing
The Mama and the Daddy took Cabela and me down to the dog park at the RV place. It was late in the evening but we got to have fun running around and being off the leash for a while.
The Daddy took this picture of me and the Mama walking down the street before we got to the dog park. The Mama liked the colors in the sky. Click on the image to enlarge.
Announcing Our New Grandson – Baby G
Meet Baby G! Dad JJ and Mom Sara’s first baby. He’s a little boy, only five pounds two ounces at birth, but is a strong and healthy baby. Being he was a little earlier than expected, the staff held him in the hospital while they did some standard tests to see if he could be cleared to go home, which he passed easily.
JJ sent us the video seen on the right of Baby G sleeping, but active. We already have received a lot of still photos of him which we posted on Facebook and other places.
We are currently making plans to go see the new little guy who is staying with his mom and the other set of grandparents who live about three and a half hours drive from here. We sure are looking forward to meeting our new grandson very soon.
Handsome Bay Bay
This is my Bay Bay, a Mama’s boy if there ever was one. Most of the time in the house, he follows me around to make sure that he knows what I’m doing and that I’m OK. He is a very protective little guy and we have a mutual love for each other.
One of the things he likes to do is go out on the patio with Bob. He jumps up on the spa cover and watches for killer jackrabbits and such. Bob took this photo of him this afternoon while he was intently watching for critters. Click on the image to enlarge.
