Even on rainy days, Cabela and I keep watch out the front window. We bark if we see something that doesn’t belong there. We sometimes bark when there is something that does belong there. Click on the image to make us big.

Card Sharks
Verna took this photo of Mom and some of her friends at the ranch playing cards the other day. After the afternoon snack time, several of the residents gather to play “crazy eights” or some other card game. Click on the image to enlarge.
Mom’s Courtyard Panorama
Verna snapped a couple of photos of the view outside of Mom’s apartment at the ranch. I merged them into this single panoramic image of Mom’s view out of her window. The oleanders on the left and the marigolds around the fountain are all in bloom now. Click on the image to enlarge.
Flashback – 2008 Summer Vacation
My camera robot took this photo when Verna and I were visiting the Grand Canyon Desert View on July 23, 2008. We have been living in Arizona for almost three years and have only visited the canyon once in that time. We’re planning a trip this fall that will take us to Indian country and perhaps then we will visit the canyon again. Click on the image to enlarge.
Dogs On The Patio
When the dogs visit the patio, Beethoven jumps up on the spa and watches for desert critters like cottontails and jackrabbits so he can protect us from them by barking them away. Cabela, on the other hand, looks for bugs or lizards that may have crept into the patio. At the end of the video, she gets interested in the birds on Verna’s feeders. Hibernation
We have been experiencing light rain and cool temperatures today (only 80 degrees). Both of the dogs are acting as if it’s a winter storm as they hibernate on their respective perches on the sofa and love seat. Click on the image to enlarge.
