We drove through Banning Pass, located about a quarter of the way between the California house and our Arizona home when we headed out yesterday. After a recent rain/snowfall, San Jacinto mountain’s northern slopes look to be covered with snow. The peak is about six miles south of Interstate 10 as we pass through Whitewater. Yellow Daffodils
I’m afraid I can’t take credit for raising these pretty yellow daffodils since they were sitting outside the garden shop as we went in to shop for a couple of things. There were a lot of nice flowers on display including geraniums, ranunculus, pansies, and these daffodils. Click on the image to enlarge.
Creeping Charlie
We’re in the California house this evening. When we got here, I did my usual garden check and took some pictures. This creeping charlie popped up in the whiskey barrel where one of our tropical philodendron plants used to be. The charlie seems to be doing OK in spite of having no attention for nearly three months. Click on the image to enlarge.
One Year Ago Today
Last year, February 6th was Superbowl Sunday. It was the first time we watched the big game in our new Arizona home. At that time, we had yet to acquire much furniture and we watched the Packers defeat the Steelers while sitting on folding chairs and using a picnic cooler for a table. I grilled up a couple of tenderloin steaks on the little portable charcoal grill. We ate the meal and enjoyed football afterwards. Click on the grill to see the tenderloin steak, baked potato and asparagus meal we ate that day.
