Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoy a great long weekend. It’s a beautiful desert afternoon and that is one of the many blessings for which we are thankful on this day.

The hot weather is mostly behind us for the year. We are still using shorts and summer apparel during the daytime, but, come nightfall, it’s time for the sweats again.
I took this photo of Verna the other day while we were still in warm weather mode. She had been taking pictures of our local flora, fauna and other photogenic objects in the neighborhood.
One of the best things about our home here is that you can always be sure to see some critter or something in the sky that is worth pointing and shooting the camera. There is a never ending variety of desert goodness to be recorded by her camera.
IN the background, you can see the flowering plum tree in the courtyard behind the gate and wall enclosing the area. Click on the image to enlarge.
We are in Palm Desert camping at the RV Park. Last night and today, Jerry and his Mom and Dad came over to visit. He was wearing a pair of Oshkosh overalls that I sent him a couple of months ago. He looks like such a big boy with them on. Oh yes, he is walking on his own now.

The kids and Jerry will be visiting us again tomorrow. We have them over to the RV Park where we fix dinner and they visit for as long as the baby will be happy. He is cutting teeth these days and can get pretty unwound with the discomfort.
We will be headed home on Monday after what I’m sure will be a good mini-vacation and family visit. We’re praying for an uneventful return trip to Arizona.
Since the weather has become mild compared to the summer months, we are now able to take the dogs to the Wickenburg Dog Park again. Both Cabela and Beethoven love to run around the park sniffing and doing their thing.
This photo is one of the rare times when I could get them both in the same frame as they explored a chair under one of the shade trees. Most of the time, they are running in different directions looking for whatever the park grounds might offer a dog.
