The Altar and the Pulpit

In Zion Canyon alongside the Virgin River in Utah, the rocky cliffs and formations are awesome. The formation in front is called the ‘pulpit,’ and behind it is the ‘altar.’ Standing in the valley beneath this spectacular view is a near-religious experience, even without the church-oriented names.

Pink Dahlia

I took this photo the day we were at the South Coast Botanic Gardens to see the dahlias. This beautiful pink dahlia is only one of many varieties and colors just as beautiful.

Headaches

Two concepts of headaches:

  1. being in an accident at rush hour
  2. inching through traffic in the aftermath of an accident
