Harvesting on Independence Day

Not only is it Independence Day, it’s also harvest day for the Japanese Pumpkins in the vegetable garden. These are also known as Kabocha Squash. This is the first phase of the method to ripen these to the point where they are ready to cook. This is way more than we need for our table so I plan on giving some of them to the family.
