Lithops Flowers

Lithops translates to “living stones.” This succulent takes on the form of river rocks and grows in creek beds and riverbanks. Their appearance is a defense mechanism to keep predators at bay, but all bets are off when the flowers sprout. Click on the image to enlarge.
