This cactus is growing in our back yard amongst all the native desert plant and animal life. The cactus is about a foot high and ten inches in diameter at the base. Like many other barrel cacti, it leans toward the south, hence the “compass” name.
I was up on the hill behind the RV drive and took the image pair that I merged into this anaglyph image. Click on the image to enlarge.
