In the fall, I like to decorate with the traditional red, orange, yellow and brown colors to match the colors taken by some of the foliage at this time of the year. I got some yellow and orange daisies at the flower shop this week and they are in a vase on the sofa table. Click on the image to enlarge.

First Lemons of The Season
We started harvesting the first lemons from our “orchard” today. In reality, we had to rescue some of the low hanging fruit in danger of dragging on the ground. We did, however, get one nice ripe lemon to garnish a couple of lemon Margaritas that Verna poured.
If you look closely (click on the image to enlarge), you can see the Margarita glasses are a couple of zany skeleton faces that we recently acquired for the Halloween season.
Coolin’ The Puppies Heels
When the puppies go out for a walk, they have to have their little paws on some pretty hot surfaces here in the desert when it’s summertime. In order to allow them to ‘cool their heels,’ Verna got them a kiddie wading pool and filled it with water. They both happily jump into the water and splash around a bit before wanting to get out and go back into the house. Click on the image to enlarge.
Hummingbird Feeder
I went out back this afternoon with the camera to try and get a shot of a road runner that I saw up on the hill behind the RV drive. By the time I got my camera and came back out, the road runner had retreated to a place where I couldn’t get a decent picture of it. However, this cooperative hummingbird came and perched on one of the feeders. Click on the image to enlarge.
