Ringing Out the Old Year

Today is the last day of 2006. We closed out the year by going to the range for a little target practice. Verna demonstrates the use of her Smith and Wesson 908S pistol on a 25-yard slow-shoot bulls-eye target.

Telephoto Lens

For her birthday, Verna got a new telephoto lens. A couple of days later, we went down to Cabrillo Beach by the breakwater. While we were there, a L.A. City Lifeguard vessel passed us while patrolling the breakwater. As they approached Angels Gate Lighthouse, she got this shot. She loves her new telephoto lens!

Family Christmas Visit

Kane and Jayden dropped in to pay us a visit before Christmas. They brought Papa and Grandma, Carol, Tracy and Vanessa. Everybody got to open up a gift. We enjoyed the visit very much.

Land’s End

Down at the foot of Pacific Avenue in San Pedro, is the ‘Land’s End’ scenic viewpoint. Today was a day after rain in the area, and left the sky textured with beautiful clouds and good visibility. We posed for this while we were there. After the visit here, we went to Point Fermin Park and took pictures of the ocean, Island and lighthouse.
