Last year, we planted some bok choi (a type of Chinese cabbage) in our garden. The bok choi liked it here and now we have them all over the garden, One of the perks with this edible plant is the fact that it produces these beautiful flower clusters on a stalk.

One of the prettiest sights you can see on the California coastline is pelicans soaring along the cliffs. This is a breeding-age California Brown Pelican - the red markings under the bill and other color attributes indicate the pelican’s age. I took this photo last Saturday when we were at Point Vicente.

We had the installer put in a new High Definition DirecTV dish and receiver for our new HDTV today. The new pictures we’re getting are great!

Or maybe flashboom.
Verna’s Para Warthog .45 caliber pistol is going back to the depot for repairs and alignment. The main recoil spring mechanism broke and she had to send it in for replacement. While it’s there, we’re asking them to restore it to factory new condition.
Meanwhile, she fires my Glock 30 when we’re shooting .45 caliber ammo. You can see from the image that in addition to the loud report the gun makes, there is the added bonus of a nice, bright muzzle flash.

Lately, we’ve found ourselves dropping in to the Point Vicente Interpretive Center. We were shopping today and decided to stop and try to spot some migrating whales. We didn’t see any whales, but there were pelicans swooping past the cliffs and the waves and color of the ocean were very nice. At one point, we posed for this photo.
