Waiting for the Spring Flowers

We’re anxiously awaiting the arrival of spring and the wonderful desert flowers it brings. This is a slideshow from last year showing several of our beautiful, colorful flowers. This reminds us of how much we like seeing spring unfold and looking to the summer season as well.

A Pretty Daisy

A Pretty Daisy

We attended Mom’s memorial service today. It was a very nice service celebrating her life. There were a few flower arrangements and on one, there were a pair of these lovely Gerbera daisies. I took this close-up of one of the two. Click on the image to enlarge.

Cimarron Sage Flowers

Cimarron Sage Flowers

Second Spring is upon us. The Cimarron sage bushes by the driveway have erupted with tiny purple flowers. I took this photo this afternoon as the sun was getting low in the western sky. I look forward to a lot more flowers, not only on the sage, but cacti and elsewhere before fall sets in. I’ll be taking pictures, of course. Click on the image to enlarge.

Purple Sage – Second Spring

Purple Sage

Bob was pumping gas and I walked over to the purple sage bushes in the landscape area to get a photo of the pretty purple sage flowers. We have noticed a lot of flowers popping out as second spring approaches in the desert. Click on the image to enlarge.
