Carry Me?

carry-me.jpg

We went to a flea market today (no fleas, I hope). There were lots of people and other dogs there. When the Mama went into one of the tents and I wanted to go with her, the Daddy wouldn’t let me and I don’t know why.

(The Daddy notes, “Bear weighs 75 pounds. I’m an older man, and – as much as I love her – I’m not about to carry her through a flea market tent.”)

Superstition Mountains

In any weather, the Superstition Mountains are a striking landmark rising out of the desert floor, near Apache Junction, AZ. A weather front moved into the area today, giving an eerie, but beautiful background to this majestic landscape. Click on the image to enlarge.

Stickers

This cactus has some nasty little spines. Twice now, Bear has picked up one of the little sticker-laden balls of cactus that fall from the plant. Luckily, they stuck in her fur and not her skin. We’re steering clear of these from now on.

Pinal County Courthouse

This beautiful 19th century brick and wood structure dominates the center of picturesque Florence, Arizona. The Pinal County Courthouse is an artifact of the old west, built when Arizona was still a territory. It’s just beautiful! Click image to enlarge.

Family Portrait

On an outing today, I set up my little Canon A-710 IS to capture an image of us with the park and desert scenery in the background. Note the matching outfits the girls are wearing. Click on the image to enlarge.
