Water Under the Bridge

Water Under the Bridge

This is the Hassayampa River which is rarely seen flowing at this point in Wickenburg. Today and last night, there were showers and thunderstorms over the whole area, resulting in whitewater flow under the pedestrian bridge. I’m sure the river has had more water than this, but this is the most we have seen in nearly three years since moving to Wickenburg. Photo courtesy of Verna. Click on the image to enlarge.

Alert Dogs

Alert Dogs

Even on rainy days, Cabela and I keep watch out the front window. We bark if we see something that doesn’t belong there. We sometimes bark when there is something that does belong there. Click on the image to make us big.

Hibernation

Hibernation

We have been experiencing light rain and cool temperatures today (only 80 degrees). Both of the dogs are acting as if it’s a winter storm as they hibernate on their respective perches on the sofa and love seat. Click on the image to enlarge.

Sun Rays

Sun Rays

This is a late-afternoon image of a cumulus cloud just to the west of the house. The sun’s rays give it a spectacular halo! Click on the image to enlarge.

Rainbow

Rainbow

It was not raining here, but there must have been a few water droplets to form this faint rainbow seen just east of us this evening as we were walking the dogs. Click on the image to enlarge.
