Halloween 2024

Verna has the Halloween decorations up in our little house for us to enjoy. Since we’re located on a dirt road in a semi-rural area with no street lighting and the potential for nocturnal critters like Javelina and Coyotes to be present, we get exactly zero trick-or-treaters. So, the decorations are for us alone.

The (clickable) image above came from the Bing® AI Image Generator with the Halloween lettering overlaid with Irfanview™. I suggested that the AI generate an image that was “dark and sinister,” and this was the result. I assume it figured out that Halloween was nigh and this seemed appropriate.

So, for all who celebrate “All Hallows Eve,” we wish you a happy time of it. And watch your six. Be safe in these “dark and sinister” times.

Early Voting Day

We both voted today in what could be the most important election of our lifetimes. Basically, (depending on your viewpoints) a good vs. evil contest at most levels. Be sure and cast your votes.

Keto Mini Tacos

For this Friday’s luncheon special, we had miniature tacos. Mine were salmon and cheese and hers were beef and cheese. They were completely carb friendly with net zero carb tortillas and minimal carbs in the guacamole, olives, peppers and taco sauce. This meal was worth five stars, I’d say.   ★★★★★

Now that we have found the net zero tortillas, this sort of luncheon will certainly happen more often as long as we can obtain the zero carb tortillas. Good stuff.

Happy 110th Birthday to Jack

Born in Los Angeles in 1914, Jack, my Dad, is celebrating his 110th in Heaven. This photo of him in the US Navy as a Warrant Officer possibly was taken in the early 1940’s.

26th Wedding Anniversary

26 years ago today, God Almighty put us together forever in marriage. Neither of us have ever regretted joining our hearts in Christian love together. We’re looking forward to celebrating our 27th and on and on.
