Broccoli and Beef – Chinese Style

broc-beef.jpgWe don’t usually cook on Monday since we usually have leftovers from the weekend. Since Thanksgiving was last week, we had plenty of leftovers for Saturday, so we didn’t cook then and chose to have turkey and the trimmings again.

Today, even though it is our laundry day, we prepared the planned weekend meal. It’s one of our favorites, Chinese-style broccoli beef over white rice. Of course, we prepared the meal with low-sodium ingredients. In spite of that, it was just delicious.

Home Grown

We harvested our oranges today from our dwarf orange tree in the back yard. Bob cut this one open to make marinade for the pork ribs we’re going to BBQ tomorrow. I took this still life before he started squeezing. Click on the image to enlarge.

Santa Hat

The Mama put this Santa hat on me today. We’re going to have a family Christmas picture and she wanted me to look festive. The Daddy took our picture. Click to make us big.

Thanksgiving Day

I can’t believe I ate the whole thing . . .

Turkey breast with all the trimmings: mashed potatoes, turkey gravy, cranberry jelly, Verna’s killer dressing, candied yams, steamed broccoli and a buttermilk dinner roll. Thanksgiving dinner plus 3 NFL football games today equals thankfulness in our household.

We hope you enjoyed your day as much as we have. Click on the image to enlarge.
