Every time we pass through the old historic district of our scenic little touristy town, we’re reminded of what a great little town this is. We were out and about with the food donations yesterday, when I took this photo of our historic AT&SF Locomotive on old Railroad St. Click on the image to enlarge.
Retirement
A Desert Spa in 3D
A few days ago, Verna went to the Spa at Los Caballeros here in town. They gave her a pedicure, a manicure and a facial. She liked it. We plan to make a visit to the spa a regular thing.
While we were there, I took a pair of images of the spa and later combined them into this anaglyph view. Click on the image to enlarge.
Of course, you will need your free pair of 3D glasses to view the anaglyph image. If you don’t have your 3D glasses you can view the 2D image here.
A Pool for the Clubhouse
In addition to the new clubhouse at the Retirement Ranch, the management is installing a pool for the seniors. The pool is relatively shallow with stairs at both shallow ends and a ladder in the deepest part. There is also a whirlpool spa at the south end of the pool. Click on the panorama to see full-sized in the image viewer. Be sure to scroll right to see the whirlpool.
The pool should be complete in a few weeks. I will post another panorama of the complete, water-filled pool and spa.
What’s For Dinner?
Verna and I prepared one of our favorite Tex-Mex dinners today, “Crazy Yellow Chicken Fajitas.” Similar to, but much better than, the well-known fast food chain’s version of this. We marinate the chicken breasts over night and then we bake them for an hour, finishing up on the hot grill. The chicken gets shredded and stuffed into flour tortillas along with the rice and beans. It’s a very tasty meal and better than El Pollo any day. Click on the image to enlarge.
