Plunge

Plunge

Besides pooping and lifting his leg at the dog park, Bay Bay’s favorite thing to do is get in the little tub they have there and splash around. When we arrive inside the park, the dogs take off and run around doing their off-the-leash thing. Meanwhile, Verna will fill the little tub with water. By and by, Bay Bay will charge back to the water station, jump in the tub and splash around for a while before jumping out and resuming previous activities until it’s time to ride home. Moon and Stearman

Moon and Stearman

Verna and I were out walking the dogs a couple of days ago when I heard the distinctive sound of a radial engine-powered airplane overhead. I did not have my fancy DSLR camera with me at the time, or I’m certain I would have taken a better photo, but this one is not bad considering I used my pocket-sized Canon A1400 point-and-shoot camera. By coincidence, the plane passed very nearly in front of the waning crescent moon. Click on the image to enlarge.

Signs of Spring

Flower Buds on Beavertail Cactus

Several of the beavertail cacti around the property have sprouted flower buds, even though the first day of spring is over a month away. We have been fortunate to have spring-like temperatures for most of the last three weeks.

The beavertail cactus in the photo above was transplanted from the back of the property around four years ago and is usually the most prolific flowering cactus we have. We can hardly wait for the vivid pink flowers that are coming soon. Click on the image to enlarge.

The Mama Walking with Bay Bay

The Mama Walking with Bay Bay

Cabela and I get to go walking with the Mama and the Daddy several times a day. When the Mama and Daddy eat lunch, they give us treats and then we get to go for the long walk. The Daddy took this picture of the Mama and me on our way back home from the walk. Click on us to make us big.
