Vacation

Gramma Loving Baby G

Gramma Loving Baby G

I rocked my little grand baby, Jerry, to sleep on our last trip to visit the kids and the baby. I was giving him a kiss when Bob took this photo of us as he dozed off for a little nap.

It is our resolve, now that we have the means to travel and camp near the kids, to meet them halfway so they can bring the baby to the other grandparents home in the Palm Desert area. It is a little under four hours for us to get to the campground, but it would be another two hours beyond that to actually get to their home in the Pasadena area.

I’m glad they can come and visit with us when we go there. I love this little baby sooooo much! 😀

Mallards

Mallards

There is a large pond in the RV resort very near where we were parked during our recent visit to see the kids and grandson. These ducks seem to be part of the landscape when we visit this park.

The baby and his parents were feeding Cheerios to these guys as they came very near our camping spot. This was very entertaining for the six-month old boy who laughed and made noises to try and attract the ducks to come closer, which, of course, they were wise not to have done.

Palm Desert RV Camping Sunset

RV Park Sunset

We have had a couple of beautiful days camping here in the Coachella Valley. The temperatures and the weather in general have been very acceptable. This evening, we enjoyed this beautiful sunset. Tomorrow, we will be breaking up camp and headed to the Colorado River to visit with our friends who live there.

While we were here in Palm Desert, we enjoyed visiting with our six-month old grandson, his parents and his other grandpa was here, too. We had a cookout yesterday, when I grilled some steaks and Verna fixed the side dishes which we fed to everyone.

We are planning to prepare another steak dinner for our friends at the river tomorrow. After we spend the night there, we will be driving the Roadrunner RV back to Wickenburg.

Ready for Weekend Cookout

Cookout Ready

When we arrived in the Coachella Valley today, we quickly got settled in for our first of three overnight stays here. Tomorrow, we will further be setting up the grill, tables, chairs and other items to prepare the tenderloin steaks, the gluten-free Mac’n’Cheese and BBQ beans for the cookout we promised the kids and the other set of grandparents. Stocking Up The Roadrunner

Roadrunner

I have the pop-outs deployed and the awning extended on the ‘Roadrunner’ as it sits in the RV driveway, because we’re currently preparing for a medium-length excursion to visit our new grandson and then some friends that live by the Colorado River. I have everything popped-out so we have enough room inside while we’re storing the items we’re taking with us; items such as food, beverages, toiletries, pet supplies and the like.

This time out, we’re going to be “on-the-road hosts,” inasmuch as we are planning to feed our family and friends by preparing dinners in the RV. I have already stocked up the on-board freezer with steaks and some give-away bottles of homemade Limoncello. Verna and I are going shopping shortly before we head over to California and will have more items for the Fridge and pantry.

It’s going to be a lot of fun. We will post plenty of pictures of the events both here and on the FecesBook® thing.
